أعلن وزير الخارجية الأميركي ماركو روبيو، أن الولايات المتحدة عازمة على تعزيز قدرات القوات المسلحة اللبنانية لتمكينها من ترسيخ سيادة الدولة بفعالية أكبر، مؤكدة تقديم مساعدات إنسانية فورية للبنان بقيمة 100 مليون دولار بالتنسيق مع الأمم المتحدة، إلى جانب مواصلة انخراطها الكامل في تنفيذ الاتفاق الإطاري وتخصيص موارد كبيرة لدعمه.
