In a post on its official Facebook page, the syndicate said that Samra had been hospitalized following the health scare and wished him a speedy recovery and a safe return to his fans and loved ones.
Samir Samra is one of the Syrian artists whose career began in the 1970s. He first entered the entertainment industry through the talent show "Masrah Al-Mawahib," which was dedicated to discovering new artistic talents and emerging voices.
Originally from the coastal Syrian city of Latakia, Samra built a career that extended beyond singing. He also ventured into acting and appeared in the film "Summer Rains," while continuing to establish himself in the Syrian music scene.
In later years, Samra gradually stepped away from the spotlight and focused mainly on composing. In a previous television interview, he revealed that he had been working on around 40 musical compositions, while stressing that he remained ready to return to singing "at any moment."
Throughout his career, Samra took part in several local and Arab festivals and collaborated with prominent Syrian and Arab composers.
Among the songs he performed are "Jamaana Al-Hawa," "Ashan Khater Oyounak," "Mitlak Ma Fi," "Ana Ma Baaref Ana," "Haqqi Aleik," "Kalam Habibi Ya Nas," "Al-Sabiyyeh Al-Helweh," "Salem Habayto," and "La Tدن مني."
News of his hospitalization prompted messages of support from fans and followers, who wished him a full and speedy recovery.
