Laila explained on Instagram that some parts of the interview were taken out of context and understood in a different way from what she actually meant. She also revealed that the episode was filmed during the final months of her pregnancy, when she was feeling tired and had less energy than usual.
She said that before entering the studio, she told Hesham that she was still feeling unwell and asked him to help more with the conversation.
Laila also addressed the travel situation that caused debate online. She confirmed that the incident really happened, but said Hesham later spoke to her about it and admitted that his behavior was wrong. According to Laila, he understood that he needed to change, and a similar situation has not happened again.
She said that a man who can notice his mistake, talk about it openly and change his behavior deserves respect.
Laila also explained her comment “I chose you,” which was widely discussed online. She said the sentence came during a conversation about jealousy and was not meant to sound arrogant or controlling, as some edited clips suggested.
Speaking about their relationship, Laila said she and Hesham have been together for around four years and have been married for about a year and a half. She stressed that she knows the details of their relationship better than anyone and that their families and close friends respect and support their marriage.
She also praised Hesham for supporting her throughout her pregnancy, saying he has stayed by her side during difficult moments, doctor visits and work trips.
Laila ended her message by asking fans to pray for them as they prepare to welcome their first baby girl, hoping they will continue their life together with love and understanding.
