Judy’s mother attended the concert, held on Thursday as part of the “Yalla Sahel” events, and watched her daughter perform with Ahmed saad on stage. Her appearance attracted particular attention, as the occasion brought members of the family together for a special musical night despite the parents’ separation.
Judy’s participation came as Ahmed Saad celebrated his new album “Al-Elektro,” through which he is experimenting with a variety of musical styles that he has described as different from his previous work.
Ahead of the concert, Ahmed spoke about feeling unusually nervous, admitting that it was one of the rare occasions when he had taken the stage with such a high level of anxiety. He explained that this was due to the new format he planned to present and his desire to explore a wider range of musical styles combining Arabic music with modern rhythmic sounds.
The biggest surprise, however, came when he spoke about Judy’s growing interest in singing. In a humorous revelation, Ahmed said his daughter had made a deal with him: she would agree to study medicine in london only if he allowed her to sing with him.
Ahmed explained that he originally expected Judy’s participation to be limited to just a few words in one of his songs, without attracting too much attention. Instead, he was surprised by how quickly audiences began recognizing her, joking that people now stop Judy in the street to greet her before they even notice him.
He also joked that his hopes of seeing his daughter become a doctor were beginning to fade as her passion for music continued to grow.
During the concert, Ahmed performed several tracks from “Al-Elektro,” along with some of his biggest hits, offering a mix of romantic, emotional and upbeat songs.
Still, the appearance of his ex-wife and her support for Judy remained one of the night’s most talked-about moments, as their daughter continues taking new steps toward a possible career in music alongside her father.
