Lebanon’s Halba Judicial Detachment arrested George Hanna Deeb, widely known on social media as “Dr. Food,” during a security operation carried out in the town of Rahbeh in Akkar.

According to Al Jadeed’s correspondent in Akkar, the arrest followed intensive surveillance and monitoring that enabled officers to locate Deeb. He was subsequently taken into custody and referred to the competent judicial authorities for questioning and further legal proceedings.

A Mount Lebanon Criminal Court had previously sentenced Deeb and several other defendants in absentia to life imprisonment with hard labor in a case involving the manufacture and trafficking of narcotics.

The arrest came hours after his former wife, content creator Shorouq—also known as “Sunshine”—held a party celebrating their divorce. The timing sparked widespread reactions online, although no official information has established a connection between the event and the security operation.
