The Israeli Army Radio reported that the operation to seize control of Ali al-Taher Hill took around three months, amid what it described as “fierce resistance” by Hezbollah members.
The radio added that the Israeli army offered Hezbollah fighters the option of surrendering and raising the white flag, but they refused and continued fighting until the end.
