Trump Moves to Lift 40-Year Ban on Direct US Flights to Lebanon

President Donald Trump said his administration would move to allow US airlines to resume direct flights to Lebanon, lifting restrictions that have been in place for more than four decades.

According to Bloomberg, Trump announced the move in a social media post on Tuesday, saying the decision would make it easier for Americans to travel to Lebanon.

“I am hereby directing my Administration to allow all US airline carriers to fly directly to Lebanon so that Americans can easily visit this beautiful land,” Trump said. “Hopefully, other Countries will do the same.”
