The water in the lower basin of the Litani River is experiencing a significant increase in turbidity due to activities carried out by the Israeli occupation forces in several areas, particularly Yohmor Al-Shaqif and Zawtar. This is affecting the quality of the water reaching the Qasmiyeh Irrigation Project.
Given the potential impact of this turbidity on irrigation networks and agricultural equipment, particularly for subscribers who rely on drip irrigation systems, the authority urges farmers and subscribers to take the necessary precautions, monitor and regularly clean their screens and filters, in order to prevent network blockages or damage to irrigation equipment until water quality improves and turbidity levels decrease.
