Army chief discusses South Lebanon developments with MCG4L Chief Clearfield
Lebanon’s Army Commander General Rodolph Haykal, on Monday received U.S. Gen. Joseph Clearfield, head of the Military Coordination Group for Lebanon (MCG4L), and an accompanying delegation, at his Yarzeh office.
Discussions focused on developments in the south, security arrangements related to the framework agreement, and the difficulties faced by the Lebanese Army in carrying out its missions, foremost among them the continued Israeli attacks, bulldozing and destruction by the Israeli
occupation.
The two sides also stressed "the importance of supporting the Lebanese Army in light of the missions it is carrying out in the south and across various Lebanese regions."
