Drugs, Weapon and Stolen Goods... 3 Arrested in Bekaa
The General Directorate of the Internal Security Forces – Public Relations Division issued the following statement:
“As part of the ongoing efforts by the specialized units of the Internal Security Forces to combat crime and arrest perpetrators throughout Lebanese territory, particularly drug-related crimes, and following investigations and inquiries conducted by the Bekaa Investigation Detachment of the Regional Gendarmerie Unit, its patrols arrested three individuals for different offenses, as follows:
On August 26, 2026, a patrol arrested a drug dealer riding a motorcycle in the city of Zahle, identified as M.N.M.M. (born in 2003, Syrian national). A search of his person resulted in the seizure of:
67 Captagon pills packaged inside a container.
A quantity of hashish.
A small scale and tools used for packaging and consuming drugs.
- On August 29, 2026, a patrol arrested an individual in the act while he was entering a farm belonging to a citizen by climbing over its wall. He was identified as A.M. (born in 2001, Lebanese national). A search of his person revealed a stolen mobile phone in his possession.
- On August 31, 2026, in the Chtaura area, a patrol arrested A.H. (born in 1991, Lebanese national), who was wanted by the judiciary under an arrest warrant for opening fire at an individual. A search of his person resulted in the seizure of a handgun.
The detainees, along with the seized items, were handed over to the relevant units for the necessary legal measures, pursuant to the instructions of the competent judiciary.”
