Since October 2023 Until Today... How Many People Have Been Killed?

The General Directorate of the Internal Security Forces – Public Relations Division issued the following statement:

“As part of the ongoing efforts by the specialized units of the Internal Security Forces to combat crime and arrest perpetrators throughout Lebanese territory, particularly drug-related crimes, and following investigations and inquiries conducted by the Bekaa Investigation Detachment of the Regional Gendarmerie Unit, its patrols arrested three individuals for different offenses, as follows:

On August 26, 2026, a patrol arrested a drug dealer riding a motorcycle in the city of Zahle, identified as M.N.M.M. (born in 2003, Syrian national). A search of his person resulted in the seizure of:
67 Captagon pills packaged inside a container.
A quantity of hashish.
A small scale and tools used for packaging and consuming drugs.

Prime Minister Nawaf Salam received a delegation of municipal heads and municipal council members from the border villages of Al-Bustan, Yarin, Marwahin, Al-Dhahira, and Al-Dhalloutiyeh.

Following the meeting, Sheikh Dr. Naji Al-Sweid spoke on behalf of the delegation, saying: “We were honored to meet with the Prime Minister to follow up on the affairs of the border villages and frontline villages. A number of demands were raised, and the Prime Minister was extremely keen to follow up on all of them. The minutes were read to him, and all the demands discussed with the Prime Minister were addressed.

“We extend our thanks for this significant attention and for his commitment, which reflects the extent of his care for and follow-up on the villages of the south in particular, including the frontline villages.

Lebanon’s Internal Security Forces (ISF) announced the arrest of a Nigerian national in Beirut’s Hamra district and the seizure of 78 capsules containing cocaine, with a total weight of 1.8 kilograms.
